Peace yall. Its been busy season in Shakedown country lately. The 3 of us got accepted as a DJ trio to SXSW music festival, James Brown January is already on week #4 on Super Soul Saturday radio, Donnie just got back from New Mexico & Los Angeles from judging some major DJ battles & JJ is in full swing killin it on the air every day @ KRTU for their lunch feature set & Scuba has been spotted out DJn more than usual.

Not to mention that Mojoe is officially back on the scene in San Antonio with a new Tuesday night weekly alongside Scuba @ Club West (4500 West Ave, San Antonio, TX) & everything else that’s coming up.

So here it is. Big shouts go out to MOS & G Christ @ the 54 Reality show for their coverage of the Super Soul Shakedown ft. Mojoe…this episode is extra fresh too, as I went to Austin this past Friday for Matt Sonzala’s Bday party @ the Black Milk concert & they have footage of that show & the Goodie Mob reunion show as well…these cats continue to out hustle every vlog we’ve heard of!

Last night was an amazing kick off to the third year of the Super Soul Shakedown here in San Antonio, which featured the return of SA’s favorite act, Mojoe, plus KRTU soul DJs, Donnie Dee, JJ Lopez & Scuba Gooding. The Limelight reached capacity by 10:45pm & the line never slowed down for the rest of the night. For the 9th time since this quarterly tribute to soul & funk music was conceived, the Super Soul Shakedown sold out & provided an amazing experience for the most progressive crowd of party goers & music heads in San Antonio, TX.

Big shout outs to 91.7 FM, KRTU, Wax Poetics & Backbeat magazine for their support of this event. What a night yall! Stay tuned for the next Super Soul Shakedown on April 17th @ Sams Burger Joint with San Anto soul greats, Sexto Sol…same great flavor, & now with a bigger & better venue to allow more heads to get on down with the big bad sound!
