Annnnnd we’re back!

Just a quick update about new soul happenings in & around San Antonio. JJ Lopez (Diggin Deep Soul Shakedown radio, KRTU) & Scuba Gooding (Super Soul Saturday radio, KRTU) are taking 1st & 3rd Friday entertainment to new heights, with their DJ residency @ the legendary Tucker’s Kozy Corner (1338 E. Houston @ Cherry) in downtown San Antonio, TX. Ages 21+ only & it’s funky & free!

The jump off goes down Friday, March 5th, 2010…get there early, as these jams will hit capacity!

Impressive, talented! I saw your article in the paper and immediately opened your website. I grew up listening to these songs (still got my records/wheels of steel) and always been a big fan of the new genres (acid jazz, nu-jazz, underground rap..etc). Being ex-military, I found that Europe plays more old soul and funk than we do in America. Unfortunately, I found no FM station that plays this kind of music in San Antonio. Just the same tired pop songs over and over. I have to go internet radio or download hidden gems from eMusic. I can’t wait to check you out at Sams Burger Joint. Please keep it up and bring San Antonio some long over due soul.
